The problems we solve every week

Payouts that won't reconcile

Whether they come from Stripe, Shopify Payments, Amazon or PayPal, deposits arrive in batches, net of fees, refunds and holds. We break them down so revenue, fees and taxes are exact: to the penny.

Sales taxes

GST/QST in Québec, HST elsewhere in Canada: we determine where you must collect, configure your store and file the returns.

True margins, per product

Between landed cost, shipping, ads and returns, the margin on screen often lies. We build a reliable cost picture so you know what to push, and what to drop.

What the engagement can include

  • Monthly bookkeeping connected to your platform (Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon…) and your payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Square…)
  • Canadian sales tax filings (GST/QST, HST)
  • Annual financial statements and corporate tax
  • Dashboard: sales, gross margin, acquisition cost, cash
  • Tax structure when the store takes off (holdco, inventory, expansion beyond Québec)

Merchant questions

Do I need to collect tax on sales outside Québec?
Often, yes. In Canada, obligations depend on your revenue and the delivery province. We map your actual obligations and configure collection directly in your platform.
Are my platform's reports enough for my taxes?
No. Platform reports mix sales, taxes and fees by their own rules. Without accounting reconciliation, you risk over- or under-reporting. That's exactly what our bookkeeping fixes.
Should I incorporate my online store?
It depends on your profits, risk tolerance and plans. Rule of thumb: once the store generates more than you need to live on, incorporation deserves serious analysis. We run it with you, numbers in hand.

Your store deserves books as clean as your storefront.
